My Framing Gallery

Explore this selection of my custom picture framing work, where you'll discover the quality, care, and meticulous attention to detail I dedicate to each project.

These are two originals of cats, painted directly onto board. They feature a white slip that separates the artwork from the gold frame. This technique adds depth and significantly enhances the overall aesthetic. The frame is part of the Trastevere collection.

This magnificent lion is an original and unique piece from South Africa. It is painted onto a canvas which has been stretched using stretcher bars.

This unusual frame made of African wood, compliments the picture beautifully and was selected due to its wood effect, paying homage to it's origins.

Measuring over a metre tall this will be a focal point for the customer's home.

Definitely Maybe’ - An individually handwritten piece by Oasis sleeve designer Brian Cannon. Contrary to popular belief, it’s Brian’s handwriting on the original record cover NOT Noel Gallagher’s. This is framed in a moulding called “Jackson” which has flicks and splatters of paint built up in multiple layers and finished with a deep gloss lacquer. The image is then mounted and the glass used  is UV which protects the image from fading in sunlight.

This football shirt was for a customer who played for England Universities.

He wanted it framed with his cap and a couple of photos to mark the achievement. Placed together these items capture this sporting milestone and they look very impressive.

It is mounted using a white mountboard and framed in a chunky matt black moulding.

These feathers were handed to me by the customer with the instruction to frame them in a way that shows them off and in a frame of my choosing.

The feathers are from a pheasant, and as you can see there were a lot of them in a range of sizes. I decided to display them on a black background to make them “pop”, then mount them using a cream coloured mount.

The frame is a walnut colour and is 56mm deep, it is called Exhibit and it was necessary to use a spacer so that the feathers do not touch the glass.

The tribal necklace is from Kenya and is very colourful. The scarlet red mount really suits it especially with the white edges and the fact that it is double mounted. The frame is from the Jackson range and is white with multicolour.

The spectacular Lion print is by local artist Tom Fitch. It is framed using an iced white mount, then a white slip to create depth, and finished using a wide moulding with an open grain.

These two canvases (Mick & Keith) came as a pair for a client who wanted them to be framed differently but needed them to compliment each other as they were to be hung adjacently.

The canvas is first attached and stretched on wooden bars, then put into a frame. Keith is framed in a chunky black, open grain L-tray. This means that the frame is shaped like the capital letter L and the canvas sits inside it with a small gap all around.

Mick is also attached and stretched on bars, then framed using a wide black frame and a white slip.

They are both originals by artist Stevie Riks (Riksy)

Another two pieces, this time film posters came in to be framed. The Jaws poster is interesting because if you look at the image closely you can pick out the image of a shark, the waves are it’s teeth ! It is framed in a plain Matt black moulding.

The poster of “The Thing” is framed in a wide silver moulding.
